Plant Protein Market

• The "Golden Field Factory LV" in Liepaja, Latvia, officially opened this   year and focuses on the production of  vegetable proteins. (Pea and fava bean protein).
• The Jackfruit Co. closed a $5 million Series B round to expand its plant-based meat business.
• Kroner Starke has invested in a new production area dedicated to the manufacture of meat alternatives. The heart of this new line is using plant proteins such as wheat and peas, which are processed by extrusion technology into various forms such as pellets, strips, and powders.

Plant Protein Products Plan

• McDonald's France has partnered with Beyond Meat to launch a new menu, "Veggie McPlant Nuggets," at its 1,560 restaurants. The nuggets are made from pea protein    and coated in wheat, cornmeal, and breadcrumbs.
• Burcon NutraScience Corp. has launched Puratein canola protein isolate. The purity of the rapeseed protein isolate is 90%, it contains all nine essential amino acids, and   the protein digestibility amino acid score is 1.
• Planteneers presents a plant-based chicken breast with mushroom protein as its main ingredient at FiE.
• SWAP Food has launched SWAPⅢ Chicken, a plant-based chicken in Chicago.   SWAP Chicken is unique in that its taste and texture are similar to real chicken, satisfying both vegetarian skeptics and traditional meat lovers.
• Forca Foods has launched an innovative product, watermelon seed milk, which as been described as a world first. The main ingredient is watermelon seeds, with the addition of pea protein, and the entire formula does not contain any carrageenan, artificial flavors, or colors.

The Plant Protein Research Progress

• Traditional extraction methods will affect the function, taste, and nutritional value of the protein, and the extraction rate is low. Researchers are using ultrasound and fermentation to optimize the extraction of plant protein.
• Studies have shown that chickpeas can be a major source of protein due to their drought-resistant properties.
• The latest research in the United States shows that pea protein can reduce blood pressure by promoting the body's urination.
